The Haverford women’s soccer team finished out their season in a tense game against Swarthmore, with both sides unable to put a point on the board. Senior Lily Buyer was named Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week after her performance in this game, making 12 saves to shut out the opposing team. This was also the team’s senior game, honoring the 8 senior athletes during their final collegiate game.

Haverford men’s soccer celebrated their senior day with a 1-0 win over Swarthmore, marking the end of their undefeated regular season and the start of playoffs. The team faced 6th seed Muhlenberg on their home field and held them 0-0 through the full game and two overtime periods. The game then went to penalty kicks, where the Mules were able to score on all 5 of their attempts. Unfortunately, Haverford was only successful on 3 of their attempts, ending their season. Despite not making it through the playoffs, the Fords have made history with their first undefeated season since 1945, amongst other successes.

The Fords closed out their regular season with a win against Ithaca, following a loss to Centennial Conference Opponent Swarthmore. The team was ranked 19th in the nation and seeded 5th heading into playoffs, facing the team they had just lost to who were seeded 4th. In an exciting victory, the Fords shut out Swarthmore, winning 2-0 despite having less shots on goal and less corners than the opposing team. Their next opponent, Johns Hopkins, was ranked 2nd nationally and 1st within the conference. Hopkins was able to score early on, and neither team was able to get another shot off before the game ended. Though this was an unfortunate loss, the Fords held Johns Hopkins to 1 less goal than they did earlier in the season and made the playoffs for the first time in 8 years.

The Haverford volleyball team finished their conference play with a 3 game win streak, beating out Bryn Mawr, Johns Hopkins, and Swarthmore in decisive victories. Sophomore Fiona Moord earned her second Centennial Conference Defensive Player of The Week award this season, leading the team in blocks and putting on an impressive defensive show. The team then competed in the York Tri-Match, beating the two other competitors, pushing their win streak to 5 before the end of their regular season. Heading into playoffs, the Fords are seeded 3rd and are set to play 6th seed Dickinson, which will be an exciting rematch after their 2-3 loss earlier this season.
Women’s Cross Country
Centennial Conference Championships 6th
Women’s cross country placed 6th overall in the conference championship race, with junior Anastasia Jaycobs leading the team and finishing in 25th out of around 100 racers. Jaycobs was followed up by fellow juniors Alice Sappenfield and Grace Chen in 30th and 31st. The Fords finished the race with 132 points right behind Franklin & Marshall, who had 128 points, and well ahead Muhlenberg, who finished with 212 points. Following the championships, senior Savannah Shaw was named to the Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Team.
Men’s Cross Country
Centennial Conference Championships 2nd
The men’s cross country team finished 2nd overall in the championship race, led by first-year Simon Lane and senior Micah Lachman placing 4th and 5th. The rest of the top 5 all finished above 30th place, with juniors Owen Bluman and Luke de Valpine finishing in 22nd and 26th, followed by senior Jakob Maiwald in 28th. The team finished out the race with 66 points behind Johns Hopkins’ 19 points. Lane and Lachman’s placements have been named to the All-Centennial Conference First Team, and senior Joseph DeRosa was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team. With the team’s success this season, the Fords coaching staff have been voted Centennial Conference Coaching Staff of the Year.

The Bryn Mawr soccer team has finished out their season with the most wins in a season since 2019, despite a challenging conference run. The team held Muhlenberg to a 0-0 tie during their faculty and staff appreciation game, with first-year goalie Lily Blackman logging 10 saves in her 5th shutout in her debut collegiate season. The Owls celebrated their 3 seniors in their final game against Franklin & Marshall, where they unfortunately fell 0-4, though they held them to 2 less goals than last season’s match.

Bryn Mawr field hockey ended their season with a tough loss to Gettysburg in a shootout after remaining tied through regular time and overtime. The Owls have had their first losing season since 2017 and did not make it to the conference playoffs, following their last season where they made it to the national playoffs. Despite this, the Owls demonstrated great effort in all of their games this season and had many individual victories, including senior Maggie Barilla being named to the All-Centennial First Team.

The Owls celebrated their senior day against Arcadia, where they pushed their opponents to 5 sets before unfortunately falling in the 5th set. Despite their loss to Franklin & Marshall, senior Elise Perry recorded her 500th career kill, cementing her legacy as a crucial force on the Bryn Mawr volleyball team. The team closed out the season against Gettysburg, where they had some impressive plays, but unfortunately lost in straight sets.
Cross Country
Centennial Conference Championships 10th
The Bryn Mawr cross country team placed 10th in the Centennial Conference Championship Race this season. The team was led by senior Eva Ackley in 54th, who has performed consistently strong this season. She was followed by sophomores Alyson Bostrom and Rosa Carbon in 60th and 65th. Senior Sofie Prieto and sophomore Emma Smirk rounded out the team in 66th and 100th.

V8 – 13th, JV8 – 9th, N8 – 7th
The rowing team finished their fall season at the Head of the Occoquan Regatta. They earned 13th, 9th, and 7th across three events.
