The Bryn Mawr basketball team finished their 2025-26 season late this February with a final record of 5-20 record, one of which was their first conference game win since 2008. The season began in early November with a close game against Centenary University in New Jersey with 6 instances of a tied score, 9 lead changes, and a final score of 57-60. Just 3 days later, the owls came back stronger, with a win against Wilson College in another close game with a final score of 70-68. This winning streak continued just 2 days later with a close game with Penn State Brandywine with a final score of 58-50 led by junior Hannah Mack who scored 14 points. This was followed by a 30-38 loss against Hood College on the 15th. In the wake of this loss, the owls got back on their feet with a 60-40 win against Penn State Berks. This winning streak continued just 2 days later with a 65-56 win against Cairn University. This was followed shortly after by a tough matchup with Marywood University with a final score of 53-66. The month of November closed with another loss against Eastern University.
Coming out of the first month of their season, the Owls began December with a tough matchup against Muhlenberg College with a final score of 49-72. Next, was the first conference game of the season, against Johns Hopkins University, where the owls played a challenging game with a final score 28-93. The final game of the semester was against Delaware Valley University, which ended with a final score of 42-59. Returning to campus early, and playing their first game just five days into the new year, Bryn Mawr began the second half of their season with an away game against FDU-Florham ending in a final score of 21-57. Next, the Owls faced another conference game against Dickinson College which proved to be challenging with a final score of 33-79. The conference matchups continued just 3 days later with a game against Haverford where the Fords took the win with a final score of 47-57. Despite these losses, the owls continued preserved, winning a historical home game against Washington College marking the first conference game win from this program since 2008.
Key contributors to this game were Jenny Briggs who ended the game with 26 points and 3 rebounds, and Hannah Mack who ended the game with 17 points and 8 rebounds. The final score of the game was 73-68.
With a little over a month left in the season, Bryn Mawr pushed through their last 10 games against even tougher matchups. In spite of these efforts the remaining 10 games were losses. The second to last game was another conference game against Swarthmore College with a close final score of 45-50.
At the end of the season Hannah Govert, Michelle Jiang, Hannah Mack, Cameron Richter, and Kayla Spencer were all named recipients of the Centennial Conference Winter 2026 Honor Roll. Additionally, Hannah Govert, Michelle Jiang and Cameron Richter were all named CSC Academic All-District athletes.
