As a student newspaper, the Bi-Co News strives to be a beacon of accessibility and give all Bi-Co students who wish to learn the practice of news writing the opportunity to do so. In a fast changing world, where journalism has become an increasingly endangered profession, the Bi-Co News prides itself on being a training ground for student journalist within our community. As such, the Bi-Co News brings together Haverford and Bryn Mawr, creating an extensive archive of the two college's intertwining history. If you donate to the Bi-Co News, you will not only be aiding the next generation of journalists but will be contributing to the written record of both colleges.
As a donor to the newspaper, you will be helping us with the following:
- Getting updated equipment for our photographers and podcasters
- Ensuring that the paper can afford print editions for the semester
- Offering stipends to our staffers, who spend up to 40 hours a week working on the newspaper outside of their already intense class schedule
- Helping to pay for outgoing costs, such as website fees
- Transportation to and from various Philadelphia-based events
- Overall support for the newspaper
